My favorite route for an afternoon in Heidelberg
Park in the Parkhaus P12 Kornmarkt/Schloss or P13 "Karlsplatz”
Walk to the Bergbahn and take it up to the Schloss. - Link

Follow the signs and walk back down to the ‘Pedestrian Zone’
Have a nice lunch at any of the Taverns.
Walk to the ‘Alte Bruecke’ and then up the Pedestrian Zone for some shopping
Have a treat or coffee to wrap up the afternoon
